Barry Friedman came up with "They hated each other when they were alive" for this cartoon.

New Yorker Cartoon Caption Contest No. 329 was not won by Tulsan Barry Friedman.
I voted for his caption for a cartoon of two lab-coated types standing before a pair of dinosaur skeletons decked out with top hats and walking sticks: "They hated each other when they were alive."
However, a majority of voters preferred another captions. Barry's caption came in second in the voting. This is the second time that Barry has been first runner-up in this contest; the other time was for the March 5, 2007, contest.
Ah well. There's always next week...
