Several local companies will be holding auditions for their upcoming productions in the next few days.

Tulsa Project Theatre is holding auditions for two upcoming shows: the comic-thriller “Deathtrap” and the musical adaptation of “Miracle on 34th Street.”

“Deathtrap” auditions will be Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. at the Fly Loft, 117 N. Boston Ave. (in the same building that houses the Woody Guthrie Center.)

Equity members will be auditioned at 10 a.m., and non-Equity actors can audition at 10:30 a.m. All those auditioning need to bring a resume and headshot. Selections from the script will be provided for readings.

“Deathtrap” is the first non-musical play the company has presented, and will be staged Oct. 25-Nov. 3 in the Tulsa PAC.

“Miracle on 34th Street” auditions will be Sept. 14 at the Fly Loft. Equity performers will audition beginning at 10 a.m., and non-Equity actors – including children – will begin at 10:30 a.m. All actors must supply resumes and headshots, and have at least 32 bars of a song prepared. An accompanist will be provided.

Monday will be open to actors age 13 and older, while the Tuesday sessions will be for those ages 12 and younger. Auditioners must have a one-minute song prepared; an accompanist and CD player will be available as necessary. Actors will also be asked to do cold readings from the script.

Performances of “A Christmas Carol” will be Dec. 12-23.
