Booker T. Washington assistant principal Mike Mims is one of five new members of the Oklahoma Basketball Coaches Association's Hall of Fame.
Mims had a coaching record of 166-85 for the Hornets from 1973-82 and led them to three state boys basketball championships.
"I am seldom speechless, but I am right now," Mims said on Wednesday after being informed of the honor. "I am thrilled and blessed, and also humbled."
Others announced on Wednesday as being members of the OBCA's 2012 Hall of Fame class are Mick Weiberg, Leon Dixon, Roy Riley and Jack Ray.
