Here's a chance to meet barbecue guru Paul Kirk, pick up a signed copy of one of his books and/or select a nifty last-minute grilling gift for dad.
Kirk will be at the Hasty-Bake store, 1313 S. Lewis Ave., from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday to sign his cookbooks and present a cooking demo. There is no charge to attend.
According to Kirk's website, among his titles and honors have been Barbecue Guru, Ambassador of Barbecue, Order of the Magic Mop, Certified Master Barbecue judge, Kansas City Barbecue Society board of directors, KCBS Barbecue Hall of Flame member and 1990 Chef of the Year-Greater Kansas City ACF Chapter.
The Hasty-Bake store also offers a wide variety of grilling items that would make great gifts for Father's Day this Sunday.
