I just received this year's edition of Zagat's "World's Top Restaurants," featuring restaurants from Asia, Canada, Europe and the United States.
No restaurant received a perfect 30 rating in the "top food" category. Those that received 29:
Sushi Kaji, Toronto
Spondi, Athens
Ledbury, London
Dom./Chateauvieux, Geneva
Bacchanalia, Atlanta
Bonnell's, Dallas/Fort Worth
Les Nomades, Chicago
Alinea, Chicago
Schwa, Chicago
Justus Drugstore, Kansas City
Market, San Diego
Matsuhisa, Los Angeles
Naoe, Miami, Fla.
Gary Danko, San Francisco Bay
French Laundry, San Francisco Bay
Le Bernardin, New York City
Daniel, New York City
Marcel's, Washington, D.C.
Inn at Little Washington, Washington, D.C.
Komi, Washington, D.C.
It's interesting Paris didn't deliver a 29-rated restaurant, although it did have five score 28.
Tomorrow I will go over some of the restaurants in the "most popular" category.
