If you had to pick only one ice cream flavor to eat for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Mine is chocolate and peanut butter.
Now, ask me how excited I am for the new flavor that Blue Bell is featuring during September?
The Chocolate and Peanut Butter ice cream will be available in pints and half gallons at a grocery store near you.
“There is no fancy gimmick to this flavor,” said Paul Kruse, Blue Bell CEO and president. “It’s plain and simple creamy peanut butter surrounded by an equally creamy chocolate ice cream. Chocolate Peanut Butter is one of those flavors that you can’t stop eating because it tastes that good.”
The hint of saltiness in the peanut butter is what makes this ice cream flavor the best, in my opinion.
“When we created this flavor it could have gone two ways,” Kruse said. “You could either make it like we did or with chocolate peanut butter cups in the ice cream. We liked the idea of swirling the peanut butter because it mixes so smoothly with our ice cream.”
Blue Bell is also reintroducing one of its cheesecake inspired flavors, Blueberry Cheesecake Ice Cream. This returning flavor is a rich cheesecake ice cream loaded with cheesecake pieces and a flavorful blueberry sauce swirl.
