I don't know why, but any event with "boom" in the title's going to draw my attention.

Such was the case this afternoon when I heard about "Boomtown 60," a benefit concert scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 22, at Cain's Ballroom, 423 N. Main St. Doors open at 6 p.m., with the concert starting at 7 p.m. -- and all ages are welcome.

Celebrating the Tulsa Area United Way and its 62 partner agencies, the benefit will feature Graham Colton, Jason Savory, Swan Lake Gentlemen's Society, Loose Brix and The Whiskey Misters. The event is presented by Littlefield Brand Development.

Tickets are $20 in advance, $22 day of show, $24 at the door. The first 200 tickets purchased through a Littlefield employee come with dinner, so call 918-295-1000 for more details on that.

Peace, love and things that go boom ... XOXO
