Sorry.
His perceived slapdown ...

Very soon, we’ll hear from Landry Jones himself. He’s representing the Oklahoma Sooners at Big 12 Media Day next Monday with teammates Ben Habern and Demontre Hurst.
For one more week, however, others must speak for him. Sam Bradford, for instance.
OU’s 2008 Heisman Trophy winner was asked about Jones while in Norman for his youth football camp last week. He was asked about the pressure of the position, a pertinent topic given how big a year the Sooners need from Jones after so many losses at receiver.
“I don’t care what type of year it is where you play quarterback at Oklahoma. There’s going to be a lot of pressure,” Bradford said. “Especially in a year where coming into this season they’re ranked as highly as they are. But I think Landry has always done a great job of handling it. He plays well week in, week out. I don’t expect that to change this year.
“I expect him to have the best year he’s ever had. I look forward to watching him play.”
Bradford was asked about Jones’ decision to return for his now-fast approaching senior season.
“I work out here quite a bit in the offseason and see Landry a couple times a week. We talk,” Bradford said. “Obviously it was his decision. As long as he feels like he made the right decision… He did. It’s only up to him.
“I remember going through that process and people trying to tell me, ‘Oh, you should leave’ or ‘You should stay.’ At the end of the day, I was like, ‘Well, it doesn’t really matter what you think, because you’re not the one that’s going to live it.’
“I’m definitely excited that he’s back. I think he’s a great player.”
I asked Bradford if Jones sought his counsel before making a decision.
“I talked to him a little bit,” Bradford said. “But I just told him, ‘It’s your decision. I can tell you things, but it’s whatever you feel in your heart. Let your heart tell you what you want to do. You’re the one that’s going to have to live with your decision the rest of your life.’
“Obviously he felt it was in his best interest to stay, and he wanted to stay. I’m excited to have him back.”
