Broken Arrow graduate Archie Bradley, who is one of the top pitching prospects in the minor leagues for the Arizona Diamondbacks, visited his high school alma mater's signing ceremony and was invited to speak before the signings on Wednesday morning.

Bradley advised the signees to "work hard every day" and don't take their opportunities for granted.

Also speaking was Alvin Bailey Sr., whose son Alvin, is a Broken Arrow graduate and University of Arkansas offensive lineman preparing for the NFL Draft.

Bailey's advice included for the signees to "have a vision" and "be a dreamer," and "to finish strong in the classroom." He played basketball for Arkansas in the 1970s.

Broken Arrow safety Ryan Alger, who signed with South Dakota, enjoyed hearing from Bradley and Bailey.

"It was cool for them to talk to us," Alger said. "They know what it's like."

Added offensive lineman Bo Farrow, "It was awesome to get their point of views, to get the perspectives of athletes and parents."

Farrow signed with Pittsburg State and also will compete there in track and field.
