Brandon Pettingell has been promoted from sous chef to executive chef at The Alley Gastro Pub, 3324 E. 31st St.

He replaces Mitch Neely, who had held the post since the restaurant opened late last year. Neely’s plans haven’t been announced.

“We still are working out some things, but we plan to put out a new fall menu by Sept. 24,” The Alley owner Brian Biehl said.

Pettingell cooked at the Chalkboard and Doc’s Food & Wine prior to joining The Alley in January.
