Alain and Michel Buthion, French-born brothers who opened La Baguette Bistro in Oklahoma City in 1988, will prepare a three-course dinner at the French Hen, 7143 S. Yale Ave., at 6:30 p.m. Monday.
Courses will include seared sea scallops topped with green peppercorn, vanilla apple cider beurre blanc and a roasted apple; stuffed quail with escargot and sweetbreads over smash potato with a beet-glazed eggplant tomato tower; and mixed berry creme brulee with young Roquefort.
An amuse bouche preceding the courses will include chicken mousse in shiitake mushroom, tuna tartare over pickled watermelon and shrimp sauteed with garlic and wrapped with snow peas.
Three French wines will be served, including Domaine Laporte ‘Le Bouquet’ Loire Valley sauvignon blanc, Patrice Rion Bourgogne pinot noir and Feraud-Brunel Cotes du Rhone Villages.
Cost is $45 per person, plus tax and gratuity. Seating is limited. Reservations: 918-492-2596.
