After three years of bringing quirky and stylish indie music through Tulsa, downtown's Continental club will shutter its doors to make room for the expansion of its neighbor, the popular restaurant and night spot McNellie's Public House.
The last two nights will include comedian Vincent Carbone and the Newark All-Stars on July 31 and a closing blowout on Aug. 1, according to its Web site.
Featured acts were eclectic and ran the gamut from jazz to punk, including American (and Okie) country guitarist Junior Brown, Canadian psychedelic pop act Caribou, Israel rock act Monotonix, New York City psycho-bluegrass act O'Death and dozens of other local and regional performers.
Continental is located at 421 N. First St. in downtown Tulsa.
