"Unforgettable" apparently has not been not forgotten by CBS.
The network is in talks to bring back the canceled series as a summer show, reported deadline.com Wednesday.
The freshman mystery series, starring Poppy Montgomery as an NYPD detective who is physically unable to forget any memory, was canceled last May despite being the highest rated series among all the cancellations.
It earned an average of 12.1 million viewers per week with a 2.5 rating/7 share in the favored 18-49 demographic, according to the website.
CBS is said to be talking to Sony Pictures TV with which it co-produces the show with a plan to shoot 13 more episodes.
The production studio has been shopping the show around to other networks like Lifetime and TNT but has had no takers so far.
If the CBS plan goes ahead, "Unforgettable" will be the most important original drama to air during the summer on that network in years.
CBS has not commented on the report.
