Conference USA has not won an NCAA Tournament game since 2009 and Memphis is the only league team that has won an NCAA Tournament game since Tulsa joined the league in 2006.
As some suspected, Conference USA has not been very competitive on the national stage since John Calipari left Memphis.
Memphis, Houston, UTEP, Southern Miss and UAB out of C-USA have reached the NCAA Tournament in the last six years.
The last C-USA victories in the NCAA Tournament have come from Memphis under former coach Calipari.
Calipari led Memphis to four straight NCAA Tournaments before he left in 2009.
Since then, C-USA is 0-6.
Tulsa has gone nine years without an NCAA Tournament.
Six C-USA members have been in the NCAA Tournament since Tulsa last reached the tournament. Memphis, Houston, UTEP, Southern Miss, UAB and UCF have all made the NCAAs since 2005.
On the other hand, Rice hasn’t been in the NCAAs since 1970.
