The hit tune, "Two Black Cadillacs," co-penned by Carrie Underwood, Hillary Lindsey and Josh Kear, marks the former "American Idol" star's 17th Top 10 Billboard country single.
Underwood says of the inspiration behind her song's video:
"I really don't know why I've always loved horror movies," Underwood said in a recent behind-the-scenes clip. She admits the video is based loosely on Stephen King's car-done-wrong-revenge-horror tale "Christine." ...
And this video comes, in part, from the same mind who used a Louisville Slugger to take revenge on her man's truck in the 2006 "Before He Cheats" video.
Hmmmmmm ... Now, she's graduated to murder.
It makes for good video fodder, especially when led by graphic designer, photographer and music video director P.R. Brown (Audioslave, Slipknot, Mötley Crüe, Korn, Godsmack, Marilyn Manson, Prince, Jack White ... seriously).
Her fans agree. The Oklahoma singer took to Twitter to thank fans for the warm response to the chill-inducing video and song: "Thank you all so much for the love you've been giving me for the 'Two Black Cadillacs' video! You guys are awesome!"
It's the latest in a series of cinematic video releases from the Checotah native, including an eerie "Wizard of Oz"-themed video for "Blown Away."
