Country superstar Carrie Underwood will perform on the "2012 Billboard Awards" on May 20.

The native Oklahoman joins Justin Bieber, The Wanted and LMFAO as the first artists announced as performers for the show. It will air live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas from 7-10 p.m. on ABC, channel 8.

Underwood, a native of Checotah, has sold more than 14 million albums, has 14 no. 1 singles (and co-wrote six of those), five Grammy Awards and numerous other awards – all accomplished with three albums in seven years.
