For those interested in seeing what I had to say about a restaurant or those looking for new restaurants to visit, the Tulsa World's new restaurant guide, Cherry Picks, could be a good resource.
The guide, found at
tulsaworld.com/cherrypicks, is based on my reviews over the past three years and includes about 500 restaurants. It took the web crew months to put the guide together.
The home page includes a comprehensive list of my most recent reviews and links to search for restaurants by style of cuisine, Tulsa city locations and nearby towns. Restaurants also can be searched by name. Each entry has a link to my review of the restaurant.
Cuisines have been broken down into 35 specific food styles, such as burgers, pubs, Asian, Mexican, diners, barbecue and fine dining, to name a few. The city has been divided into 12 areas, and 12 satellite communities are included.
Each list is arranged by the number of stars I awarded each restaurant in my review with the highest-rated ones at the top.
I would caution, however, that it probably isn't wise to star gaze too much. If I had to do them over again, they probably all would change a little, up or down. But if you check out the review, and I've done my job well, you should get a feel of what the restaurant would be like for the Average Joe looking for a place to eat.
We will continue to reach back in previous years and add more restaurants to the guide in coming weeks.
