Chef Michelle Donaldson will be cooking a four-course "Southern Hemisphere" wine dinner at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Local Table, 4329 S. Peoria Ave.
The dinner will include summer vegetable-filled "meat" pie with tomato cream sauce, shrimp on the barbie with avocado-kiwi salsa, beef kebab and roasted peach melba. Wines include Walnut Block sauvignon blanc, Heartland Stickleback (verdelho, viognier, semillon blend) and Boxhead shiraz, all from Australia.
Cost is $30, plus tax and gratuity. Reservations: 918-794-8013.
Donaldson recently was hired to operate the takeout market side of Local Table. She was trained at Le Cordon Bleu in Las Vegas and apprenticed at Vegas restaurants. She was executive chef at the now-closed Lava in Brookside and has cooked at other upscale Tulsa restaurants, including Polo Grill.
