Not to keep beating up on ABC, but many local fans were none too pleased with the idea of
replacing of daytime soap All My Children with a cooking show, called
The Chew.
It debuted yesterday at noon. Did any of you watch?
I have not, for the simple reason that I've been at work and I tend to live by my new Golden (Lazy) Rule of TV: What is not programmed on my DVR is not watched.
I'm in favor the casting of
Top Chef and T
op Chef All Stars alum Carla Hall. She will no doubt be a big crowd-pleaser, and Mario Batali is such a well-known chef -- and a great chef at that -- that he'll also likely be a hit.
But the critics have been
harsh, and couldn't avoid the "too many cooks in the kitchen" cliche.
