Through the first two days of Oklahoma's Tournament of Champions at Mabee Center, all eight boys games have been decided by at least 12 points.

However, there should be at least one close game on Friday as Class 6A's top teams, No. 1 Union and No. 2 Booker T. Washington will face each other at 8:30 p.m.

"It would be huge for us to win this tournament," Union's Phillip Leonard said after scoring 18 points in a 60-47 semifinal win over Forgan.

The matchup also is exciting for the defending TofC champion Hornets.

"Yes, it is when you get to play the No. 1 team, no matter what time of the season it is," Hornets coach Shea Seals said.

The Hornets will be in their fourth straight TofC final.

Seals received about as good of a medical report as could be hoped for on second-leading scorer and rebounder Phabian Glasco, who suffered a fractured right forearm in a scary fall during Wednesday's opening round. Glasco underwent surgery early Thursday and was on the bench in street clothes cheering on his teammates in their 57-42 semifinal win over Oklahoma City McGuinness.

Glasco could return in eight weeks, in time for the playoffs.

"It's great that he has a chance to come back," Seals said...

The Oklahoma Basketball Coaches Association's state free-throw contest was held Thursday with the finals during halftime of the Hornets-McGuinness semifinal game. Burlington senior Garrett Butler made 24-of-25 to defeat Geronimo sophomore Preston Converse, who sank 20-of-25.

Butler reached the finals by making 66-of-70 free throws in qualifying earlier Thursday while Converse sank 69-of-70.
