Malan Darras, whose former band
Rewake was just inducted into the
Spot Music Awards Hall of Fame in October, continues to make and break records in his solo career.
His project, the Malan Darras Orchestra, this week released a video, "Ink Blot," from the acclaimed "Who Is Malan D?" 2007 release.
It almost immediately hit No. 1 on the MyspaceTV Video Charts Oct. 30, with more than 110,000 views.
The video was filmed at the awards show on Oct. 20 by Ryan Rhoades and edited by the Orchestra's own Cody Bailey for Droptest Productions.
In June, the single "shesadisease," from the same album, made it to No. 1 on XM Radio's XMU Channel 43 RADAR Report for most popular pop song by an unsigned artist.
