Larry Huitt are friends from Muskogee. Huitt drove in late Wednesday night – before the festival – to get a prime camping spot at Country Fever, he said.
"Everybody's really cool out here," he said. "It's like a commune. I come every year and it's a lot of fun. Some of the people have complained that there aren't more mainstream bands headlining, but I know so many of these Red Dirt guys. They're friends, we're all friends out here."
The campgrounds indeed were communal, people sharing cookers, inflatable pools, food and memories.
