Warren Beatty killing off his character in film after film. Alfred Hitchcock walking through a scene in one of his many movies. Don’t you love that stuff?
It’s fun, and I usually pick up on these things, so I was surprised at being stumped recently, thanks to Amy, my dental hygienist.
“So is it true that John Travolta has danced in every one of his movies?” she inquired. “I have no idea,” I replied, sheepishly, feeling as though my movie-watching stock had fallen in her eyes.
Then I told her that recently I’d met Nicole Kidman and stayed at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel, which I thought would impress her. She reminded me that this was the third time I’d supplied her this information, once before x-rays, once after flossing and now after the biannual torture that she calls teeth cleaning.
Anyway, I’m still looking for an answer – did Travolta boogie in “Battlefield Earth” or lambada in “Ladder 49” or mambo in “Mad City?” – and I’m simply not willing to watch “Perfect” or “Look Who’s Talking Now” again to obtain the answer.
Can anyone help Amy?
