Day Two of the final Bassmaster Elite Series tournament of the year was fantastic if your name was Tommy Biffle.

If you were any other angler from Oklahoma it was downright heartbreaking.

I'm trying to reach our anglers by phone at the moment but, as it stands, it looks like only Evers and Biffle will qualify to fish the Bassmaster Classic.

Both Jeff Kriet and Terry Butcher, who appeared safe in the standings heading into the tournament, had a horrible time at Oneida.

Kriet had a season-killing single-fish catch on Day One and while he rallied on Day Two it just wasn't enough to resurrect his hopes.

Terry Butcher made a season-ending error arriving 11 minutes late for the weigh-in Friday. Anglers are penalized one pound per minute for being late.

Butcher told the weigh-in crowd he just had the time mixed up in his mind. He thought he had to check in at 4 p.m. but actually he was in the 3:45 p.m. group.

The penalty not only knocked Butcher out of the cut-off at Oneida to fish Saturday. It likely knocked him out of the Bassmaster Classic.

I'll have more after I reach our anglers by phone.
