A team of designers substantially remodeled the McGuire-Hood House as part of this year's project.

Only a couple of weeks left to stop by the 2012 Designer Showcase at the McGuire-Hood House, 1132 E. 18th Street.

The home, believed to be the first in Maple Ridge, was designed and built by architect John T. Blair in 1915 for Bird McGuire, who served as Oklahoma's 1st District Congressman from 1907 to 1915.

A team of more than 20 designers substantially remodeled the home as part of this year's project.

Tickets are $12 in advance or $15 at the door.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays and noon to 4 p.m. on Sundays. The house will also be showcased in the evening from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursdays.

The annual showcase benefits the Foundation for Tulsa Public Schools.
