ABC is donating $2 million to help the victims of Hurricane Sandy and has designated Monday a "Day of Giving."

The network has announced that on Monday all of its programming, including syndicated and news shows, will encourage viewers to help those impacted by the megastorm that devastated areas of the east coast earlier this week.

"Good Morning America" will start the "Day of Giving" at 7 a.m. by dedicating its first hour to raising money for Sandy Relief efforts. ABC News anchors, reporters and employees will be working together to encourage people to donate to the American Red Cross.

The campaign continues through "Live With Kelly and Michael" which moved its Halloween episode to Monday, "The View" and "Katie."

ABC-owned stations and local affiliates plan to integrate "Day of Giving" messaging into local news throughout the day, asking communities to help those impacted by the storm.

The drive continues through "World News with Diane Sawyer" and "Dancing with the Stars" is planning to personalize sections of the live show Monday night with "Day of Giving" messaging and adding stories about how the hurricane has impacted several of the dancers on the show.

Monday's effort wraps up with "Nightline" and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," which has been airing from Brooklyn all week.

ABC plans to donate $1 million to the American Red Cross for immediate, critical assistance, and another $1 million will be designated for organizations working on rebuilding efforts. In addition, ABC employee eligible donations to organizations involved in disaster relief will be matched, dollar for dollar, by Disney Employee Matching Gifts: A Program of The Walt Disney Company Foundation.

ESPN will also be running public service announcements to get viewers involved in Hurricane Sandy relief efforts throughout its programming, including coverage of The New York City Marathon and Monday Night Football.

ABC programming airs on channel 8 in Tulsa.
