The BBC has released a poster for the "Doctor Who" 50th anniversary special, titled "The Day of the Doctor."

The poster shows off the two most popular Doctors of the new era, along with John Hurt's mysterious Doctor 8.5(or something). There is a lot of explody bits and an allusion to the first season finale where the "Bad Wolf" story line apparently ended, causing the 9th Doctor to regenerate into the 10th, after (spoilers) Rose sucked up a bunch of Time Vortex energy to defeat the Daleks. Since Billie Piper is back in the role of Rose Tyler, the new era's first companion for the 50th, it isn't a stretch to say the two stories are probably related somehow.

The special is set to air in November, and will lead into the traditional Christmas special where Doctor 11, Matt Smith will regenerate into Doctor 12, Peter Capaldi.
