A new production of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,” featuring the recently married “American Idol” finalists Diana DeGarmo and Ace Young, will replace “The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber” as part of Celebrity Attractions’ 2013-2014 season.

It will be presented April 1-6, 2014, in the Tulsa PAC’s Chapman Music Hall.

The change was made when the touring production of “The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber” was postponed.

“We are thrilled to welcome 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,'" said Ed. Payton, Celebrity Attractions CEO, in a statement. “This show is a crowd pleaser that is sure to delight our audiences of all ages with its epic story and high energy score.”

Based on the biblical story of Joseph in the book of Genesis, "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" was the first collaboration between Lloyd Webber and writer Tim Rice. Originally a short, one-act show designed for school-age performers, it has become one of the most frequently performed shows the duo has written because of its popularity with professional and amateur companies.

Young will play the title role, with DeGarmo as the Narrator.

Young and DeGarmo first met while appearing in the 2009 Broadway revival of “Hair,” and were married earlier this year. DeGarmo was last seen in Tulsa in 2011, when she played the role of Doralee in the touring production of the musical “9 to 5.”
