Legendary power pop rocker and Tulsa Sound icon
Dwight Twilley will appear on this weekend’s broadcast of the NPR-nationally-syndicated
Mountain Stage radio program.
The show was recorded before a live audience on Oct. 24 and features classic Twilley songs “
I’m on Fire” and “
Girls,” as well as his take on “
Slow Down” (originally recorded by New Orleans rocker Larry Williams, but perhaps best-known for its cover by the Beatles), plus “
Get Up,” the first single off his new CD, "
Green Blimp," released Oct. 5 on Tulsa-based Big
Oak Records.
Air-times vary by station. A complete list of which can be found at:
mountainstage.org.
The following week, Twilley’s set will be posted at
NPR.org/mountainstage and
archived for continued access. You can also connect to the show at
facebook.com/mountainstage and
