Attention edamame lovers: For one week, and one week only, edamame will star at the Cherry Street Farmers Market.
The problem is, we can't tell you exactly what week that will be. Market manager Kim Smith gave us the tip to share with Tulsa World readers, but says it all depends on the weather.
So look for edamame -- immature soybeans still in their pods, for those who don't know -- either this Saturday, July 26 or Saturday, Aug. 2 at the Cherry Street Farmers Market at 15th Street and Peoria Avenue.
And once you bring them home, steam them, sprinkle with coarse salt and eat those little things like sunflower seeds.
