Okay, so I previewed this show for the Spot Magazine, and the turnout was impressive.
For a little indie record store located off Harvard in midtown, Under the Mooch was packed, with people spilling out the door and onto the sidewalk to catch Elliott the Letter Ostrich and a tight set from opening act, alternative/experimental/jam band, Black Swan (those adjectives don’t fairly describe its sound, but there you have it).
Local 2007 Spot Music Award nominee for Best Rock Act, EtLO celebrated the release of their double CD, “Camelot vs. the Phantasmagoria.” The crowd was clapping, singing, jumping and dancing to the indie synth-rock-turned punk sounds as pink and black balloons bounced over heads. … Yep, buckets of awesomeness.
Local musicians from bands true white brother and Wighead were also there for the music – front and center.
Buy the disc at Undymoo or insist that your favorite indie retailer stock it.
Here’s a clip. (Yeah, it’s dark in there and my viewfinder was jacked, the video's a little jumpy.) For now, here’s “Pink Dracula.” I have songs from the new CD, too, but I’m still working on those.
