I dance like this when I find socks that match in my drawer. Not really -- but I wonder how many calories that would burn ...
Anti-smoking class is tonight, after which I may meet friends vs. go to the gym. Sorry, I just prefer working out in the morning with fewer people around, at least during the first full week of exposing myself to the gym. Yikes, that sounded creepy.
Anyhoo, here's a non sequitur: I'm jaded. 'Twas a small epiphany I experienced earlier while texting a friend about a potential spark of chemistry I experienced with someone else since last year (that narrows the time frame down). Apparently, for me, it's more fun batting the prospect of something fun in my head vs. going out on a limb and actually pursuing it. Tragically safe.
Seems I need a dose of positivity in my life. Case in point: Listening now to St. Vincent's "Actor Out of Work," and all this time, I'm thinking she's singing "You're a succubant, you're a sow" -- not so much. It's "You're a supplement, you're a salve." Hmm ... Kinda different from my potentially projecting version.
Working out is going to take care of that, though! And soon, I won't have to use exclamation points to make up for how I'd rather be feeling!
OK, here's the latest food diary entry:
Monday night -- slices of turkey. No bad snacks!
So far on Tuesday -- oatmeal with blueberries, plus three scrambled egg whites and fat-free cheese for breakfast; 11 a.m. snack was an orange; lunch was 3/4 cup rice and 1 cup red beans, plus an apple; and 4 p.m. snack was 1/4 cup almonds. Tonight: A rack of lamb. (Kidding, probably more turkey, maybe a few beans. And an apple again. Ugh, this is getting old ...)
I'm leaving in 17 minutes for class, meet friends after, then head back to the Ponderosa to arrange my sock drawer (no lie -- no life).
Peace, love and missing size-12 mates ... xoxo
