Former Oklahoma State defensive end Nathan Peterson is joining the football staff at his alma mater.
"Haven't been this excited since I signed with #OkState," Peterson tweeted Thursday night. "I'll be starting my career by joining OSU as a Defensive Quality Control coach."
Peterson, a 28-year-old who is from Tulsa and attended Union High School, played at OSU in 2004-07. He ranks third in career tackles for loss (37) and fourth in career sacks (20.5).
After college, Peterson joined the U.S. Marine Corps and as a second lieutenant served in Afghanistan in 2011-12.
