Fergie, member of The Black Eyed Peas and global beauty ambassador for Wet n Wild, wants to be a judge on "The X Factor."

Fergie aka Stacy Ann Ferguson, has set her sights on one of the two judges’ positions open on the reality TV competition, "The X Factor," reported Life & Style Wednesday.
"There have been some conversations," an insider has allegedly told the website. "It's in its early stages but Fergie's the one who approached producers about joining the panel."
Fergie, who has been the female vocalist of the hip hop group The Black Eyed Peas since 2003, was a child actor and starred in the TV show "Kids Incorporated" from 1984-1989. A member of the all-girl trio "Wild Orchid" from 1994-2001, she is also a solo artist, songwriter, television host and fashion designer.
She returned to acting in 2006's "Poseidon" and had supporting roles in "Grindhouse" in 2007 and "Nine" in 2008. She has taken a hiatus from the band and last performed with The Black Eyed Peas on November 23. She is married to actor Josh Duhamel.
She also did voice acting for Disney XD's animated hit, "Kick Buttowski: Suburban Daredevil." She guest-voiced the role of April, Brad Buttowski’s dream girl, who agreed to go on a date with him.
No word from producer Simon Cowell's camp about who will take over the judges' positions which opened up when he let Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger go from the show. Host Steve Jones was also fired.
The magazine also reported that "Glee's" Darren Criss, 25, has turned down the job as host of the reality singing competiting which returns to Fox in the fall.
