Main Street Tavern, 200 S Main St., Broken Arrow, will be the site at 6 p.m. Wednesday for a vanilla-bean infused Big Jamoke Porter firkin.
Big Jamoke Porter is a beer produced by Tulsa's Marshall Brewing Co., and a firkin in an old English unit of measure used to define one-fourth of a barrel of beer.
Traditionally, firkins were wooden casks that contained ale with a faucet for dispensing. Marshall Brewing has a "new world" firkin that is filled with conditioned ale for special events.
Another firkin event, Big Jamoke Porter infused with ancho chili, cocoa nibs and bittersweet chocolate, is scheduled Jan. 19 at McNellie's Pub in Tulsa.
