If you like shoes and Kevin Durant, then this is the perfect blog entry for you.

Have you seen the new K.D. shoes? It’s the KD V, Durant’s fifth shoe from Nike, and it might be the best one yet.

The new shoe from Durant hits stores December 8th and will be available in several colors, including a Oklahoma City-themed shoe that is expected to be black and blue. Durant has also been wearing white and blue during games in Oklahoma City. A pair of the KD V shoes will set you back $115, which is the first time a shoe from Durant has broken the $100 barrier.

Durant’s line of shoes has gone through plenty of changes every year, but this shoe tells the story of KD with its design and color scheme options. As with past shoes from Durant, there are plenty of themes and design concepts built into the shoe.

The shoe’s hidden story comes from five players united on the court, five sides of a pentagon - a Washington D.C. landmark, five corners of a star, and Durant’s fifth Nike signature shoe. This tribute to five is brought to life on the shoe’s outsole pattern, midsole texture, tongue quilting with V’s, and heel counter details.

The Nike KD V is not set to hit stores until December, but you can create your own version of the shoe through NIKEiD. Material options have yet to be revealed, but there are plenty of color options as seen in the White, Blue, and Mint Green samples shown below. Pricing for the Nike KD V iD is at $150 with a 4-6 week delivery time frame.

Just as in years past, I would expect lots of different color options to be released as the season moves along. The “Nerf” and “Weatherman” shoes from the KD IV line were simply amazing, so there should be some amazing designs this year as well.
