Read about the young woman who thought she was sending a job application to a potential employer but instead sent a photo of a crazy-eyed Nicolas Cage?
An honest mistake but funny nonetheless.
York University student Vanessa Hojda had meant to attach her resume and cover letter to a query email (which opened up a whole discussion on attaching cover letters to emails, of course)but accidentally picked the celebrity jpeg instead. Hojda posted her blip on her Tumblr page and has since received nearly 60,000 notes.
http://bit.ly/Nrg0TTSaid uproxx.com: "Let’s just hope that whoever Vanessa Hojda was sending this to is a forward-thinking visionary and she gets the job she was applying for here."
http://bit.ly/OpwpraOr that "Kelly" or whoever opened the letter had a sense of humor and a good chuckle, at least.

The mistake has been all over social media, and Tuesday,
The Washington Post reported Hojda was taking it in stride.
"This whole thing got my name out there,” she told the paper via phone from Toronto.
Hojda also told the
Post she's received two job offers via her Facebook page though she's not sure they're real.
(Facebook? Really? I'm still gradually accepting colleges don't send that initial big envelope via USPS anymore..*shaking my head)
Hojda, who as of Tuesday was still searching for a summer job, told the paper she has changed the name on her resume file to something more resume-like.
Lesson learned.
