No, Vanessa Hudgens fans, this isn’t a “High School Musical” sequel.

Hudgens, who played the shy heroine in the Disney films, stars as a hooker/stripper wearing a black G-string and gyrating on a pole in the new thriller “The Frozen Ground.”

In the film, based on a true story, she’s Cindy Paulson, the lone victim who escaped death at the hands of a serial killer.

The movie, written and directed by Scott Walker, is about Alaska’s most notorious serial predator (and respected family man) Robert Hansen (played by John Cusack) who over 12 years abducted more than 24 women, flew them into the Alaska wilderness, and hunted and murdered them, according to deadline.com.

Nicolas Cage plays the Alaska State Trooper who finds Paulson on the street. Together, they work together “to bring Hansen to justice,” according to the website. One of the films’ executive producers is Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, who also is listed among the cast.

The 23-year-old actress starred in three hugely popular “High School Musical” films followed by roles in the films “Bandslam,” “Sucker Punch,” “Springbreakers” and “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island.” She has three films in post-production including “Gimme Shelter,” “The Frozen Ground” and “Machete Kills.”

No word on when the film will be released.

Here's the trailer.
