Kathy Bondy, owner of the French Hen restaurant, has been selected chairman of the board of directors of the Oklahoma Restaurant Association.
She is one of only a handful of women ever to hold the position.
Members of the board of directors from the Tulsa area are Jim Cowan, Mazzio's Corp.; Joe Davidson, Oklahoma Joe's Bar-B-Que, Broken Arrow; Jeff Davis, U.S. Beef Corp. (Arby's); Tammie Diven, P.F. Chang's China Bistro; Blake Ewing, Blue Ox Dining Group (Phoenix Cafe, Joe Momma's Pizza, Back Alley Blues & BBQ); Tony Henry, Full Moon Cafe; Thomas Hunter, Ricardo's; Brett Murphy, Hideaway Pizza; Elliot Nelson, McNellie's Pub, and Jay Wagner, McDonald's.
Mexicali Border Cafe and Freddie's BBQ & Steakhouse, Sapulpa, were honored for having 25 or more years membership in the association.
The Oklahoma Restaurant Association was founded in 1933 and represents more than 4,500 restaurants and members.
