"Good Morning America" co-anchor Robin Roberts celebrated her 100-day milestone since undergoing a bone marrow transplant by reuniting with her dog KJ.

"Look who made it back for my 100 day celebration," Robert tweeted on Saturday, 100 days after her September 20 procedure. "We just keep staring at each (other) … can't believe she's finally home."

Patients with compromised immune systems like Roberts are advised to not have any contact with animals, including their own pets, according to her blog.

"KJ already feeling right at home," she later tweeted with a photo of the wire-haired terrier and a toy. "So happy to have the lil girl back."

The bone marrow transplant is part of Roberts' treatment for the blood disorder Myelodysplastic Syndrome, which she contracted following chemotherapy for breast cancer several years ago.

The morning show host did participate in the wedding of "GMA" weather editor Sam Champion at his home recently by reading a poem but is still restricted from coming in close contact with large numbers of people, according to ABC News.

While she may be seen in Skype reports on "GMA," she may not be returning to the television show until as late as May, according to tmz.com.

She is, however, grateful for all the support and concern her viewers and colleagues have shown and sent a message to all.

"I couldn't let the year end without saying…thank you.

"Thank you for your prayers, positive energy and well wishes.
While 2012 has been a challenging year for many let's not forget the blessings.

"For me it's remembering momma's joy when she published her beautiful book, My Story, My Song….my nephew and his wife celebrating the arrival of their gorgeous, healthy twins… my sweet sister, Sally-Ann, being a match for my bone marrow transplant and inspiring others to be donors…GMA becoming the #1 morning show.

"My list goes on and on and I pray that yours does too. We have so much to look forward to in the glorious new year. My sister, Dorothy, always comes up with a family motto for the new year. This year’s is: "All will be serene in 2013."

"Wishing you Light Love Power Presence. XO"
