Here's an opportunity for foodies to make a sure bet in Vegas.
Tickets have gone on sale for the third annual Food & Wine All-Star Weekend scheduled Oct. 5-7 in Las Vegas. Gail Simmons will host the event.
Among celebrity chefs scheduled to participate are Rick Moonen, Laurent Tourondel, Masa Takayama, Shawn McClain, Jean-Philippe Maury, Michael Mina, Julian Serrano, Jean-Georges Vongerichten, Roy Ellamar, Brett Smith, Claude Le-Tohic, Steve Benjamin and Charlie Palmer.
Simmons is a trained culinary expert, food writer and television personality. She has been a permanent judge on Bravo's "Top Chef," is host of "Top Chef: Just Desserts" and directs special projects for Food & Wine magazine.
Cost of the 15 events range from $50 for a tequila tasting at Diego to $275 for a sushi rolling class and sake tasting at Shibuya. Most events are $90 to $150.
The first two years the event was held at Aria Resort & Casino and Bellagio Resort & Casino. This year it has expanded to include MGM Grand Hotel & Casino, Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino and The Mirage Hotel & Casino.
