Garth Brooks

Business Insider online money magazine has ranked the “most expensive” concerts in America, according to overall Ticketmaster purchases.

Oklahoma native Garth Brooks tops that list. Customers spent an average of $618 per overall purchase on the Ticketmaster website. Jay-Z took the second spot with an average of $603 spent per purchase in 2011. The “Country Megaticket” was No. 3 (and includes a bill of Okies Rascal Flatts and Toby Keith) at $552 per purchase.

Oklahoma rock festival Rocklahoma took the No. 4 spot with $551 spent on Ticketmaster per purchase. The top 10 was rounded out by Jon Bon Jovi, Andrea Bocelli, Coachella festival, Celine Dion, Jay Chou and Z100’s Jingle Ball (New York City).

These numbers don’t necessarily mean the tickets cost the most per ticket — they show that fans purchased multiple tickets for the events.
