
Multiple Grammy-winner Trisha Yearwood will be back for a second season of "Trisha's Southern Kitchen" Oct. 20 on Food Network.

Trish Yearwood's "Trisha's Southern Kitchen" returns with new episodes Oct. 20 and, this season, husband country star Garth Brooks will be helping out in one episode.
Yearwood, whose show is shot in Oklahoma, will be tackling everything from Southern brunch to Sunday supper to Halloween and Thanksgiving traditions in the second season of her hit series on Food Network.
In a special episode, the Grammy-winning country star and cookbook author will be joined by Brooks who will help her prepare their favorite black bean lasagna and Miss Mickey’s Peanut Butter Balls recpies. The couple lives near Tulsa.
"I'm so excited for season two," Yearwood said in a press statement. "Sharing my family recipes and having the people I love most by my side is such a joy. This show celebrates what living life to the fullest is all about and it's so gratifying to return to Food Network for a new season."
"Trisha's Southern hospitality, family stories and cooking talents really resonate with our audience and we're delighted to deliver new episodes this fall," said Bob Tuschman, general manager and senior vice president of the network, in a statement.
"Viewers love seeing this unexpected side of one of music's leading ladies - her passion for food and family, and her playful humor make Trisha a joy to spend time with."
In addition to holiday recipes including her mother's No Baste, No Bother Roasted Turkey, Yearwood will also dedicate a show to lighter recipes with recipes including Corn Flake Chicken and Apple Ambrosia.
Family and friends will again be helping out in her kitchen . They include Yearwood's sister Beth, niece Ashley and Uncle Wilson plus her college roommate Tina, makeup artist Jennifer and workout buddy Billie. She also sings one of her biggest hits in an emotional wedding shower episode and welcomes Preacher Leonard Pirtle, who married Yearwood and Brooks, for Sunday supper.
The series will air at 10 a.m. Saturdays on Food Network, cable 58.
