Kudos to Brigette, Erica and all the other friendly volunteers for the German American Society of Tulsa at last weekend's Germanfest.
One couldn't help but smile listening to the oom-pa sounds of the polka band, wathing people of all ages -- and I mean ALL ages -- hit the dance floor, and dining on great schnitzels, bratwurst and apple strudel.
We learned Erica is the cornerstone cook for the strudel, cheesecakes and gravy (for the schnitzels). Now we are hungrily looking forward to tasting her famous ghoulash at Christkindlemarkt in December.
