Gogol Bordello has joined with "guru-matic" producer
Rick Rubin for its next album.
"So many things are known about Rick as being so guru-matic-it's all true," band member
Eugene Hütz told
Billboard. "In my case I was just able to experience it and see how strong his gift is. He's always able to see the light in a very messy creative process."
The band also was a breakout headlining act at last summer's
Dfest music festival in downtown Tulsa.
Rubin, an accomplished producer, has worked with an array of music acts, from the
Beastie Boys to
Metallica,
Johnny Cash and the
Avett Brothers. To name a few.
