Guns N’ Roses officially has something in common with
Garth Brooks — a Las Vegas residency.
The L.A. rock band will debut a 12-show stint at The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. Not the one here here — the one in Vegas, baby.
“This past New Year’s Eve, Guns N’ Roses tore the roof off The Joint with two sold-out shows,” said Bobby Reynolds, vice president of booking at AEG Live Las Vegas, in a media statement. “To hear one of the biggest bands in the world rip through their catalog of hits is going to be amazing.”
The gigs are billed as “
Appetite for Democracy,” a play of the band’s hit 1987 album “Appetite for Destruction” and its 2008 album “Chinese Democracy.”
Frontman
Axl Rose is the only original member in the band’s current lineup.
Tickets go on sale Friday.
