That didn’t take long.

HBO has already ordered a second season of its Aaron Sorkin drama "The Newsroom" which debuted June 24 and a sixth season of its popular vampire drama "True Blood" which returned June 10, deadline.com reported Monday.

The premiere of the HBO drama, set in a broadcast newsroom with Jeff Daniels as maverick anchor Will McAvoy, drew 2.1 million viewers at 9 p.m. its first Sunday. In contrast, the fifth season premiere of Alan Ball's "True Blood" drew 5.2 million viewers and was down from the series’ season four premiere but up from the season four finale, according to the website.

Over at A&E, "Longmire" has found its home for a second season.

The western-type series, starring Robert Taylor and Katee Sackhoff, drew a reported 4.1 million total viewers to become the most watched new scripted cable drama of 2012.

Here's a scene from "Longmire."
