Booker T. Washington senior Dominique Alexander announced on Monday that he has decommitted from Arkansas and switched to the University of Oklahoma.
Alexander, a projected outside linebacker who committed to Arkansas in June, received a scholarship offer from OU last month and informed Sooners coach Bob Stoops on Monday night that he would accept that offer.
Alexander, who has been used on the defensive line and at linebacker this season but was projected by Arkansas as a safety, has 121 tackles for the Hornets in 2012. Alexander had an interception return for a touchdown that sealed the Hornets' 34-26 win at Bartlesville last Friday to clinch a Class 6A playoff berth.

Sunday night's Dallas at Atlanta game included two Tulsa World state football players of the year -- Dallas tailback Felix Jones (Booker T. Washington 2004) and Atlanta defensive back-punt returner Dominique Franks (Union, 2005). Jones had one of his better games of the year with 109 total yards in Dallas' 19-13 loss.
To the best of my knowledge that is the first time World state players of the year have met in an NFL game since Dallas safety Randy Hughes (Memorial 1970) and Tampa Bay defensive lineman Lee Roy Selmon (Eufaula 1971) did in 1977 and 1980.
