Michael V's is located just east of Memorial Drive at 103rd Street. CORY YOUNG/Tulsa World file

Here is an opportunity to rate my restaurant table service and donate to a good cause as well.

I will be the celebrity waiter Tuesday night at Michael V’s, 8222 E. 103rd St. , as part of Restaurant Week.

This is how it works. The more than 40 participating restaurants have written special lunch and dinner menus for this week, and 10 percent of the proceeds from those meals go the the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma’s Food for Kids program.

Also, any tips I personally receive in addition to your normal gratuity also will go to the charity.

Restaurant Week proceeds will be matched by the George Kaiser Family Foundation up to $25,000.

The lunch menus are priced at $12.95 per person, and dinner menus will be offered at three price points: $25 per person, $35 per person or $35 for two. Each meal will feature an appetizer, entree and dessert, and all prices exclude tax, gratuity and beverage.

The Food Bank's Food for Kids program provides a backpack of food each week during the school year to more than 4,800 students in Tulsa County at risk of going hungry during weekends and holidays.

To get to Michael V’s, go south on Memorial Drive and turn east at the light at 103rd Street. The restaurant is in the interior corner of the Palazzo Shopping Center.
