What will you be doing on Wednesday, Sept. 26? I, for one, intend to be at home watching J.K. Rowling's exclusive interview with ABC about her new book, "The Casual Vacancy," which will be released the next day.
Through some random link hopping, I found out about the interview, which will air on "Good Morning America," "World News with Diane Sawyer" and "Nightline." It's her first interview about the book with a U.S. network.
Although I won't be pre-ordering the book or standing in lines for it or staying up two nights straight to finish it (Harry Potter seems to be the only thing that has had the ability to turn me into crazy-fan mode), I'm pretty excited to watch the interview. First of all, I think Rowling is wildly creative and hearing her talk is just fun. And secondly, every time I see her I'm reminded of the awesome feeling of I-can-barely-contain-myself excitement that preceded a release of one of the Potter books.
"The Casual Vacancy" is a mystery novel for adults.
And who knows, maybe it will prove that Rowling has a magic touch, too.
